Le Perchoir Marais (Bar Rooftop BHV)

One of the Best Views of Paris! Coming Soon!

What we love:

The View! It’s all about the view (Hotel de Ville, the traditional/romantics roof of Paris and the Eiffel tower)
Nice music to chill out and talk.
It’s a nice experience to do at least once in your life.

The view it’s amazing! The atmosphere and music is sophisticated.  You can go with your friends or in couple (because it is also romantic). It’s a place for talking and chill out. You have to go early and wait in line, or go very late.  They have a VIP entrance so try to not be frustrated if there are a lot of people going up before you.  There is another Perchoir (the same owner) at the 11eme, it’s also a Rooftop Bar but the view is different.

Best Days:
During the week (avoid Friday or Saturday night)

Open:
It’s Open just during the spring-summer. I can’t wait to the 2015 season!
Monday – Sunday from 20PM to 2AM

Price: You don’t pay to get in, just your drinks. A cocktail is 8 euros.

Getting There:

The door is at 37 rue de la Verrerie  75004 Paris (at BHV Store)

La Coulée Verte René Dumont

The High line of Paris!

What we love:

The Uniqueness of this place (it’s not a park, it’s not a street)
You can go just for walk or you can do some exercise in contact with nature
You can also have a coffee or a drink in the cafes and bar under the high line.

Have you seen the High line of NY?  Well this is the Parisian version. It’s a nice place to walk and relax.  It’s very long so you might want to do it in parts. Under the high line (in the street) there are some coffees shops, bars and stores so it’s also a nice place to have a drink.  The flowers and plants change with the seasons so it’s always different and nice.
Best Days: Any time! They change the opening hours depending the season so it’s better to check out their website before going there.

Open

Monday-Friday 8AM - 5PM (or at 7:30PM in summer time)
Weekends from 9AM to 5PM (or at 7:30PM in summer time)

Time Required:

It’s very long (4.5 kilometers) so to do it completely it might take 2 hours of walking.

Le Comptoir Général

Quiet Place to work and Exotic Place to Party!

What we love:

The Uniqueness of this place (it feels like being in a secret place)

It’s a nice place to work or read (In the mornings of early afternoons)

During the weekends of at night it becomes a nice place to have a drink.

It has a lot of activities and its quiet original. You can dance, eat, take a coffee and read, brunch, and buy clothes or objects in a second hand shop. Check out the calendar of activities and the website to see all the things you can do there.  I always go to read or work, it’s very quiet during the day. But at night or the weekend there is even a “waiting line” outside the street.
You can check out the place in this music video of French singer HollySiz music video here

Best Days:

I rather go when it’s quiet (During the week in the morning or early evening).  If you want to take a coffee or a beer in a quiet and nice place avoid the weekend (it gets very crowded).

Open Monday – Sunday from 11PM to 2AM

Price:

Since it’s like a foundation for solidarity projects, they can ask you a donation at the enter desk (you can give whatever you want). The food and drinks are not expensive.
The Lunch cost 16 euros (main course + dessert)

Getting There: 80, quai de Jemmapes 75010 Paris

Siseng at Canal Saint Martin Paris

Try this unique Japanese-French fusion place!

What we love:

The fusion of Asian and French food is very creative and good.
They have an amazing selection of Sake (I went with my Japanese friend and she told me that).

I loved the food! It’s delicious and different.
I tried the lunch menu at 15 euros with the Bao Burger “5 Epices” and I was really good. In my opinion it’s better than the Bao Burguer “Kai”.
If you like meet and the sweet taste of the onions “confits”, the 5 Epices it’s for you!

The place it’s small so you have to go early. The food it’s good (I’m definitely coming back for more) but I don’t think it worth waiting 20 minutes outside the door in the cold night to eat there (I saw so many people doing that in the cold winter). Just go early and avoid the weekends if you can.

Best Days:  Go in weekdays and at 12h to lunch. Avoid the weekend.

Open

Tuesday –Thursday from 12AM to 5:30PM and 7PM-11PM
Friday-Saturday 12AM to 5:30PM and 7PM-2AM

Closed on Monday

Le Frank

Restaurant Le Frank at the Foundation Louis Vuitton Paris

Nice food in an architectural décor

What we love:

The food is really good.  The restaurant is inside the building created by the famous architect Frank Gehry.  It’s a beautiful modern space where we can  see his signatures “fish” as lamps in the ceiling of the restaurant.
The Restaurant is inside the Fondation Louis Vuitton so you might need to get a ticket to enter.

I really loved my meal.
I was really surprise to see in the menu “Rum Zacapa” (high quality rum) that I have seen in Paris just in luxury stores.

Best Days:

Early at 11:45AM because it’s small and everybody in the museum might want to eat there. I didn't see other places to eat inside the museum.

Open all week from 12AM to 7PM   (It’s closed Tuesday)

Price:

Main course from 24 to 35 euros.

Café Figue in Paris at the 15eme

Place: Café Figue

Gluten free paradise for Brunch!

What we love:

Delicious food!  95% of the Menu is Gluten Free.

Friendly, Family and welcoming atmosphere (and with good Jazz music)

Good service and generous portions.

The Hot chocolate is amazing! I’m quite satisfied by what they offer, specially the gluten free products as the scones, French toast and hotcakes.  We can see the effort in the preparation and cooking of the food.  If you live in 15eme of near to this neighborhood I will definitely advice you to go have a look!
