Fashion week at Paris Spring Summer 2013
The fashion week at Paris just end, the stars of the week were Dior and Saint Laurent because both have new artist director, Raf Simons for Dior and Slimane for Yves Saint Laurent and everybody was wondering about the changes and the future of both brands.

Raf Simons returns to the classic shapes of Christian Dior as for example the jacket “la veste bar” and the “A” shape. (photo 1 and 2)
The jacket is now a dress or a jacket; it can be use with shorts, pants, or as a dress. We found new fabric, bright colors even almost neon colors. Raf Simons said that he want to create a shape “Dior” easy to identify and relate to the brand, more modern and not in the minimalism that we have seen lately everywhere. Acaba de terminar la fashion week en Paris, y las estrellas de esta semana fueron las marcas Yves Saint Laurent y Dior las dos con nuevos diseñadores jóvenes y talentosos. Raf Simons realiza su primera colección pret a porter para Dior y Heidi Slimane realiza su primera colección para Yves Saint Laurent, dos de las más prestigiosas casas de moda francesa, las dos con un pasado histórico y de “savoir faire” muy fuerte y muy ligado a la cultura francesa.

Raf Simons se basa nuevamente en la silueta icónica creada por el mismísimo Christian Dior como lo es el saco “la veste bar” y la silueta en “A” (ver foto 1 y foto 2)
El uso del saco ahora lo reinterpreta como vestido, como saco, en smoking. Luego vemos el uso de telas transparentes y coloridos que le dan un toque muy moderno. También me llamaron la atención unas piezas asimétricas y de colores muy fuertes casi fluos, así que el fluo que tanto vimos este año todavía lo encontraremos para el verano 2013. Raf Simons dijo querer crear una silueta icónica y que sea fácil de reconocer y asociar a la marca Dior, siempre con un toque de modernidad y alejándose del minimalismo que hemos visto en los últimos años en el mundo de la moda.
