English: Recently Karl Lagerfeld launched a line of more accessible clothes, by the name of “Karl”. The prices are fine because it’s still designer’s clothes and good quality fabrics and materials.  This was a very good idea because it was a success. The brand “Karl” it is selling very well in prêt-a-porter.com

Now the brand Helmut Lang is going to launch “HELMUT” a second line of more accessible clothes. The brand Helmut Lang it’s well know for his asymmetric style, very casual, with comfortable basics, very urban and minimalist. This line with more accessible prices, it’s going to be a hit for sure.

Spanish: Recientemente Karl Lagerfeld sacó una línea de ropa titulada “Karl” con precios bastante abordables ya que siguen siendo ropa de diseñador y de buena calidad. Esta formula parece haber funcionado con mucho éxito ya que las primeras piezas se vendieron como pan caliente.  Ahora la marca Helmut Lang sacará también una línea de ropa bajo el nombre de “HELMUT” que será mucho más abordable.

La marca Helmut Lang se ha distinguido por un estilo asimétrico, casual, con básicos confortables, un diseño urbano y minimalista. Seguramente también esta linea más accesible a todos será un éxito.

“H&M Fashion against AIDS” and people avant-garde as Efrain Recinos

English: I have been posting information about this ethnical trend that it’s very strong in France. This week I  discover the add campaign of “Fashion against AIDS” by H&M and it caught my attention some photos that reminds me the artisanal ethnic fabrics of Latin-America and specially reminds me the “look” of Architect Efrain Recinos.  Efrain Recinos is one of the most important architects in Latin America, and I think he was someone very “avant-garde”. Who doesn’t remember this particular character with his “Hipster” glasses and his ethnical fabric full of colours and geometric?

So I let you with some photos of the add campaign and some photos of this great architect very “avant-garde” even in his particular look.

Spanish: Desde hace algún tiempo he estado posteando artículos sobre esta tendencia “étnica” que está muy fuerte en Francia. Esta semana vi la campaña publicitaria de Fashion against AIDS, de la cadena internacional de tiendas H&M en la que sobre sale mucho esta tendencia “étnica” sobre todo me llamo la atención unas fotos que me recuerdan mucho a los tejidos típicos de Latinoamérica y sobre todo me recordó al “look” del arquitecto Efraín Recinos. El Arquitecto Efraín Recinos es uno de los arquitectos más importantes de Latinoamérica, y creo que fue alguien muy “avant-garde” alguien que se adelantó a su época. Quien no recuerda a este peculiar personaje con sus lente  de “Hipster” y sus tejidos típicos llenos de colorido y geometría. Personalmente Efraín Recinos será una inspiración para mi como arquitecto, artista y soñador.

Christian Louboutin the story and "Feu" show at Crazy Horse, Paris

Christian Louboutin it’s the most famous brand of shoes in France, they celebrate recently their 20^th anniversary.  This brand it’s known for the use of “red soles” witch is their signature now.  The story is that on day the designer Christian Louboutin were designing in his office with draws and prototypes and he took the nail polish of his secretary and put it in the sole of the shoes and he loves it. In America we started to see this shoes in “sex and the city” with our fashion addict Carrie Bradshaw, especially in the scenes filmed in Paris. I’m posting some photos of these shoes, specially the ones of Katy Perry because I just love them!

Christian Louboutin es la marca más famosa de zapatos en Francia, acaba de celebrar sus 20 años. Esta marca se dio a conocer por la utilización del color rojo en la suela. La historia cuenta que el diseñador Christian Louboutin estaba en su oficina diseñando zapatos con unos prototipos cuando se le ocurrió tomar el esmalte de uñas de su secretaria y pintar la suela de unos zapatos y esto le encantó. En América los hemos visto en la serie “sex and the city” con nuestra fashion-addict Carrie Bradshaw sobre todo en los episodios filmados en Paris.  Les dejo acá varios ejemplos sobre todo unos que acabo de ver en Katy Perry que me encantaron. English: As an architect this is one of my favourite combinations, this mix of Fashion and Architecture, and these two worlds making collaborations together. In this edition Karl is the chef editor and he share with us his unique taste, his favourite architects and designers (such as Zaha Hadid, Martin Szekely, François Morellet, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec) and also he present to us his Parisian apartment. This apartment is very neutral (black and white), very clean, lineal, design, futuristic, contemporary design and a lot of light. He said that he hates the “cosy side”.

Español: Como arquitecta esta es una de mis combinaciones preferidas, el mundo de la moda y la arquitectura haciendo colaboraciones. En esta edición Karl es el redactor en chef, nos comparte sus gustos, sus arquitectos y diseñadores favoritos (como la arquitecta Zaha Hadid, o los artistas y diseñadores Martin Szekely, François Morellet, Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec) , igualmente nos presenta su apartamento en Paris, un apartamento donde predomina el blanco y el negro, un ambiente neutro, bastante limpio y design, con un aspecto futurista, diseño contemporáneo y mucha luz. El mismo cita que detesta lo “côté cosy” (lo acogedor).
