My exotic wedding / Mi boda exótica

(English) I have the pleasure to share with you these very personal photos about my exotic wedding!

Living in France I have learn to cherish the exotic Latin America, those landscapes, the weather, vegetation, culture, esthetics, those colors, etc. and I wanted to show all that in my wedding.

About the dress, it was very difficult to chose a dress, I had try those wedding dresses very heavy and with those “corset” that does not allow you to breath..

And then finally I try a Naf Naf dress “the robe enchanteresse” and it was obvious it was the right choice, I dress that allows me to move, to dance, to eat, to breath, to enjoy 100% of this special day!  Thank you Naf Naf for once again give me the right dress! And I say once again because I have been using Naf Naf dresses in very important moments in my life but that is another story that I would tell you another day :)

(Spanish) Tengo el gusto de compartirles algo muy muy muy personal, las fotos de mi boda exótica. Viviendo en Francia aprendí a valorar ese exotismo de Latinoamérica, esos paisajes, el clima privilegiado, la vegetación, la cultura, la estética, etc. En mi boda quería resaltar todo eso.

Respecto al vestido fue muy difícil al principio la búsqueda del vestido ideal, estuve probándome varios vestidos de boda pero siempre me parecían muy “pesados” y con esos “corsé” muy apretados que te dan una bella silueta pero que no te dejan ni respirar, ni comer, ni bailar. Yo tenía muy claro que quería disfrutar de mi boda al 100%, quería comer, quería reír, quería bailar y vivir al máximo ese día tan esperado. Es por eso que al probarme la “robe enchanteresse de Naf Naf” fue muy evidente que este era el vestido ideal, un vestido que reunía mis altos parámetros estético y funcionales. ¡Gracias Naf Naf por una vez más darme el vestido ideal! Y digo una vez más ya que he usado vestidos Naf Naf en varios momentos importantes de mi vida. Otro día publicare otro post contándoles esos momentos tan importantes para mi :) pero eso es otra historia.

Vogue Fashion Night Out september 6th

(English) This 6^th September is the Vogue Fashion Night Out in Paris! I night for shopping where we can find special activities, gifts, promotions, surprises and music. You can access just by invitation (by being a client of the brands or by subscribing to the magazine Vogue) There are several countries that do the same event and there are some brands as Lanvin that create special capsule collections just for the event. You can also by this collection of Lanvin in their website. Enjoy!

(Spanish) Este 6 de septiembre se llevará a cabo en Paris la noche de compras Vogue Fashion Night Out, con un calendario de actividades muy interesantes, de promociones, regalos especiales, etc. Se accede solo con invitación (siendo cliente de las marcas participantes, suscribiéndose a la revista, etc.) Hay varios países que realizan actividades similares en todo el mundo organizados por Vogue Magazine. También hay marcas como Lanvin que sacan playeras o artículos especiales para este evento y que también se pueden comprar en la tienda on-line.

(English) Ohhh! That’s so romantic! Our David Guetta and Cathy just celebrate their 20 years of love by doing a wedding in Ibiza! That’s so romantic! Personally I think there is an incredible couple because most of famous couples end quickly in divorce and scandals. Cathy seems to me as a strong woman that works hard as a team with his couple David, and I think this is one of the cases when we say “behind every great man there is a great woman”. I share with Cathy the love of “Toulon” city in the south of France where she begins her carrier. I’m so glad for them! By the way I’ll try to post a tutorial for doing the same hair style she has in the photo, it’s very very easy to do, just in a minute and it looks very elegant.

(Spanish) Ohhh ¡que romántico! Nuestro frenchy David Guetta y Cathy celebraron sus 20 años de amor realizando una boda en Ibiza. ¡Que romántico! Personalmente me parecen increíbles como pareja ya que la mayoría de parejas famosas terminan rápidamente en divorcios y escándalos. Cathy me parece una mujer muy fuerte que trabaja en equipo al lado de su pareja y lo ha ayudado a ser lo él es ahora, bien dicen que “detrás de un gran hombre hay una gran mujer” y además comparto con ella ese gran amor a Toulon donde ella también comenzó su carrera. ¡Me alegro mucho por ellos! Por cierto voy a tratar de postear un tutorial para realizar el peinado que tiene Cathy Guetta en su foto, es super fácil de realizar y queda muy elegante.

Trend! Curly and natural hair / ¡Tendencia! Cabello rizado y natural

(in English) I have been looking everywhere in France this trend of curly hair, from very curly to the natural soft waves. I have been seeing this look in advertising campaigns, in the look of singers, actress, and even in the animated movie “Brave”, where the principal character is a girl with this amazing curly hair. So if you have curly natural hair or natural sexy waves it’s the time to leave the “flat iron” behind and enjoy this trend!

(in Spanish) He estado observando por todas partes la tendencia de utilizar el cabello rizado, que va desde el cabello muy rizado hasta el ondulado natural. Acá en Francia lo he visto últimamente sobre todo en campañas publicitarias pero también en el look de cantantes o famosos. Lo que mas me sorprendió es incluso encontrar el personaje principal de una película con un bello cabello rizado muy natural. Así que si tienen el cabello ligeramente ondulado o rizado es el momento de dejar las planchas de cabello y los químicos para alisar y disfrutar de este look más natural.

Raf Simons for Dior / Raf Simons en Dior

(In English)  As you know the fashion week “haute couture” was some days ago, a have already posted some photos about the Dior runway (the Big event) but after my post I have been watching a lot of interviews, and now I have more details about it, more photos, and I want to share them with you!

The Collection: It was the first time that Raf Simons makes a “haute couture” collection specially as prestigious as the “savoir-faire” of Dior… every body was so curious about the result!

In the interviews Ralf Simons said that he saw the files of Dior to see the looks that Christian Dior created, and that was his inspiration, the “veste bar” (the bar jacket), the iconic colours of Dior (pinks, reds…) the 50’s shapes, all this inspiration with a “twist” of modernity and thinking about the woman of today. That’s why we found more comfortable outfits, the use of pockets, and the use of trousers instead of the big uncomfortable gowns. We also saw a little twist in the fur coats this time with strong colours as electric blue. There were also the amazing dresses with the collaboration of the artist-painter Sterling Ruby. Those dresses are like wearing an art piece.

The Extra-VIP list: The guest list gives us a clue about the importance of this particular runway. We could see Donatella Versace, Pierre Cardin, Alber Elbaz of Lanvin, and a lot of famous designers and artist.

The decoration: there were a lot of good comments about the amazing decoration for the show. There were natural flowers covering all the walls, recreating a fantastic word.

Como ya saben la semana de la moda de alta costura en Francia fue hace unas semanas y presenté unas fotos del desfile de Dior (unos minutos después del show) para que se hicieran una primera idea de lo que se presentó, ahora les escribo con mucho más detalle, todo lo que paso y todo lo que se dijo en los medios de comunicación sobre este esperado evento.

En primer lugar me llama mucho la atención la “importancia” que tiene la industria de la moda en  Francia ya que pasaron entrevistas de Raf Simon en varios de los noticieros más importantes de la televisión Francesa y gracias a toda esta información podemos enterarnos de todos los detalles, proceso de diseño, etc.

La colección: es la primera vez que Raf Simons hace una colección de alta costura de la talla de Dior (un pasado histórico y cultural en materia de alta costura). Así que Simon dijo en varias entrevistas que él decidió ir a los archivos de la casa Dior e inspirarse de los looks creados por el mismísimo Christian Dior como es el uso de la “veste bar” (el saco bar), los colores icónicos de Dior como los rojos y rosas, las siluetas de los años 50, etc. Todo esto con un “Twist” de modernidad y siempre “pensando en la mujer moderna”.

Es por eso que podemos ver looks más cómodos y confortables en este desfile, como el uso de bolsillos donde guardar cosas o colocar cómodamente sus manos, también el uso de pantalón en lugar de los grandes vestidos pasados e incómodos. Vemos también el uso de pieles de animales en colores vivos (azules, por ejemplo…) y la colaboración con el artista pintor Sterling Ruby, asi que usar estos vestidos es como usar obras de arte puro (el arte de Sterling Ruby).

Los invitados: Algo que llamo mucho la atención y muestra la importancia de este desfile es la lista de invitados extra VIP presentes como Donatella Versace, Pierre Cardin, Alber Elbaz de Lanvin, entre muchos otros.

La Decoración:Se escucharon muchos comentarios sobre la sorprendente decoración des desfile, millones de flores naturales por todas partes cubriendo cada muro, creando un universo fantástico.

Olympics games of London 2012 / Olimpiadas Londres 2012 ¡muy fashion!

(English) The French were very interested in follow the Olympics games, and from the start I got the feeling this Olympics games 2012 were going to be very fashion! Let me explain you why:

(Spanish) Los franceses siguieron muy de cerca las olimpiadas de Londres 2012 y de lo que me pude dar cuenta es que el las olimpiadas han estado “mas fashion” que nunca. Acá les enumero las razones por las cuales digo esto:

1.  Because the girls were following the “nail art” trend!

    Por que las chicas deportistas siguen la moda de la uñas de colores “nail art”

2.  Because “fashions designers” are getting involved in the creation of the sports uniforms   and we can see the amazing result. As for example: Cedella Marley, the daughter of Bob Marley and prestigious stylist of Jamaica, did collaboration with Puma for the creation of the uniforms. In the photo we can see her with the fastest man in the world, the Jamaican Usain Bolt.

Por que cada vez más los diseñadores de moda se involucran en el diseño de los uniformes deportivos de sus países como es el caso de Cedella Marley, hija de Bob Marley y reconocida estilista de su país, quien diseño para la marca Puma los uniformes de los atletas de Jamaica. La vemos en la foto junto al hombre más rápido del mundo, el Jamaiquino Usain Bolt.

3.  Because in the ceremony we saw the “fashion icon” and designer Victoria Beckhan singing and dancing with the others Spice Girls.

Por que en la ceremonia de clausura vimos a la “fashion icon” y diseñadora Victoria Beckhan cantando junto las Spice Girls.

4.  Because in the ceremony we saw a sort of “Homage” to the British designers, and we saw Kate Moss dressed in Alexander Mc Queen, Karen Elson in Burberry, Lily Donalson in Vivienne Westwood, etc.

Porque en la ceremonia de clausura vimos un homenaje a los diseñadores británicos. En dicho homenaje pudimos ver en persona a la mismísima Kate Moss luciendo un hermoso vestido de Alexander Mc Queen, a Karen Elson vestida en Burberry, Lily Donalson en Vivienne Westwood, etc.

5.  Because the athletes, no matter the nationality or the discipline, where all united in on colour, one trend, the neon!

Porque los deportistas utilizan el color de moda del verano 2012 “el neon”. No importa la disciplina, la nacionalidad, todos unidos por la moda. ¡Que viva el “neon”!
