Fashion design is architecture

English: As you know I’m working as an architect, so very often I see “outfits” that reminds me something about architecture, that even inspire me for a project. Maybe is for the structure, the geometry, the concept, or what they communicate to us. Other times I see a dress and I say to my self “Oh! I’m definitely wears that for a Pritzker Prize ceremony or for a cocktail at the Biennale of Venice” ;)

As an introduction I post here the link of a video of Zaha Hadid, about her participation in the last Architecture Biennale of Venice this year, that way you can see some aspects as the geometry, the distortion, the ideas “avant-garde” that are commune between the architecture design and fashion design. 2. Helmut Lang (geometry, symmetry, contrast)

3. Iris Van Herper (very avant-garde as the architecture in Netherlands)

Spanish: Como ya saben soy arquitecta de profesión y muchas veces veo algunos “outfits” que me recuerdan a la arquitectura, que me inspiran para algún proyecto o que siento que se tienen mucho de arquitectónico, ya sea por la estructura, la geometría, la concepción o lo que transmiten.

Algunas veces me ha pasado que veo algún vestido y me digo ¡wow! Yo utilizaría esto para un Pritzker Prize o para ir a algún evento de la Bienal de Venecia (no me juzguen, soy muy soñadora por naturaleza jajaja).

Así que quiero mostrarles los últimos “outfits” y diseñadores que he visto y que me han inspirado o recordado algo sobre la arquitectura. Para hacerles entender mejor estas referencias arquitectónicas les dejo un link de un video de Zaha Hadid sobre su participación en la Bienal de arquitectura de este año, con eso pueden ver por ustedes mismos estos aspectos de geometría, distorsión, ideas avanti-garde que tanto se parecen entre diseño de moda y diseño arquitectónico. Video de Zaha Hadid acá
